I want to know if my boyfriend really loves me. I let him drive my car and drop me off at work.?

I work in a really bad neighborhood and i get off at 12:45a. He didnt show up and i was stranded outside scared to death. Finally, I decided to walk across the street to walmart just to be in a better well lit area. He finally shows up at 2am. What does this sound like? He apologizes but i dont believe that he is sorry. We have a son together, and when he sped up my baby was in the backseat crying his eyes out not strapped in his carseat. He says he didnt hear the phone, he fell asleep. Should I stay with him? and we can work this out...
