Ear pinning?

Hi. I want my ears pinned. I know how bad i feel with them how they are, and I even have a list with like 10 points on it, all things I hate about them. I'm happy to get my ears pinned, but its what others will think that i am all worried about. i know i shouldnt be, but still.... and i can get myself into thinking others dont matter in terms of this, but it only lasts a while, and i find it so hard to talk about. can anyone give me any advice, about how to approach this, like get the confidence to do it and tak about it. i am not going to tell people that its being done except family. this is purely for confidence. its just getting able to talk to my family about it, and be able to talk to them, with all their "nah its ok, you dont need it. you shouldnt care etc. etc." which doesnt help. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, an I am going to raise this issue there aswell as the reason I'm going. can anyone give me advise towards this whole thing of ear pinning? thanks.
