The Tale of Despereaux(movie)- did anyone else notice...?

Okay, Charles Shaughnessy plays the voice of Pietro(the guy on the ship that Roscuro came with), and I can totally recognize his voice when he's whispering, but when he's yelling: "Roscuro, Roscuro!", he doesn't sound anything like Charles Shaughnessy! He even lost the accent! If you don't know who Chales Shaughnessy is, he plays Mr. Sheffield on The Nanny, Shane on Days of Our Lives, Ted Reeves on Living with Fran, and Demetri in Mom's Got a Date With a Vampire. Anyway, did anyone else notice he lost his accent? Can you even hear his voice somewhere in it?
