Why did Holden think the woman who cried through the movie was a phony in the book the Catcher in the Rye?

i think holden was pretty skeptical of everyone he encountered. and at 16 didn't we all know everything and have the ability to see through all the bs? he is so scared of real emotion, except when it comes from his sister phoebe, that he allays that fear by labeling it "phony".
