What lessons do you remember learning that taught you how to be a boy/man or a girl/woman?

One day, I found that my brother had cut the hair off of all my barbie dolls, so I snuck into his room and stole his GI Joe. I put dresses and hats on him and carried him around. When he saw me, he was so mad and tried to beat me up and take him back. I told him in the calmest voice I could that GI Joe was a doll because you dress him up just like Barbie and make him talk and walk around, and that dolls were for girls so he wasn't getting his GI Joe back. He chased me up and down the block. I learned 2 things on that day. Boys also like to play with dolls, and if you're not tougher than someone you better be able to run faster.
