Why are operational systems not suitable for providing strategic information? Give reason.?

It depends on your definition of an operational system,but typically the data therein is going to be too dynamic and the impact of summarising and ysing that information on the performance of the operational system is significant. Much better to have an offline or nearline 'snapshot' for this purpose.
