To fight a driving while license suspended charge, do I have a chance fighting it by playing stupid?

I told the cop i just got my license reinstated, he let me go, but said i have to bring in paperwork to dismiss the charge, i only have 2wks left on my susp, but i still lied to him, i have clearance papers but not the right ones
